Cybersecurity Analyst (SOC), AI/ML Integration

I joined the SOC as an analyst and grew into leading the team. Alongside the SOC I ran the training side as Head Faculty, and took on security leadership for client projects.
- Led the SOC team: set shift priorities, reviewed escalations and coached newer analysts until they could handle cases alone.
- Head Faculty: managed a team of 17 and trained 150+ professionals across 54 organisations, including the West African Monetary Agency (data security and IT audit) and a state health insurance agency.
- DNS tunnelling detection: Suricata rules, Splunk correlation and a Splunk SOAR playbook. Containment for those cases went from about 45 minutes to under two.
- Alert triage automation in Splunk and Suricata that cut analyst workload by about 30%.
- Government single sign on: led the security side for about ten engineers and developers, turned the NDPA into build requirements, and went live in eight weeks.
- Business email compromise response for a fintech client: revoked sessions, found a hidden forwarding rule, swept the tenant, then blocked legacy authentication.
- Machine learning email defence with risk based phishing simulations: about a fifth fewer successful clicks over six months.
- Vulnerability assessments, penetration tests and security audits for clients.

Security training, course building and consulting for clients in Nigeria and abroad.
- Prepared candidates for EC Council EHE, CompTIA Security+ and CEH.
- Built a complete CompTIA CySA+ course: 13 chapters and 13 reference documents, 26 decks in all.
- Built training material including Wireshark and OWASP ZAP decks, a SpiderFoot OSINT lab, a data protection handbook and a digital forensics short course.
- Built PhishGuard AI, a phishing simulation dashboard.
- Supported a vulnerability assessment for an insurance client, and learned to rank findings by business risk.

- Designed and built websites for Almah Africa, Earthic Energy and Bixy Koncept.
- Brand identities for KidsABILITY, LOA Triplex, PHCityFashion Week, GCHIROTEX, Agojejy and others.
